This men's wristwatch belongs to the mid-century modern period and is a creation of the Swiss maker Omega. The piece consists of a round stainless steel case with an acrylic crystal, a satin black dial bearing silver baton hour markers, and a stitched black leather strap. The photograph reveals a ridged winding crown on the right side, the omega symbol logo above printed branding on the dial, and linear hands driven by an automatic calibre 552 movement. The stainless steel case has a polished finish, and the black leather strap attaches to straight lugs. The watch case measures 35 cm in diameter excluding the crown. A timepiece of this type finds a home as an everyday accessory worn on the wrist to tell time, adding a classic touch to a person's attire.

Introduced in the early 1960s, the Seamaster DeVille combined the water-resistant engineering of Omegas functional line with the slender, understated aesthetics of a classic dress timepiece.

Mid-century Swiss wristwatches typically featured stainless steel or gold-plated casings, acrylic crystals, self-winding mechanical movements, and calfskin leather straps.

Authentic timepieces feature precise manufacturer branding on the dial, correct serial numbers stamped on the movement and inner case back, and consistent typography across all original components.

A mid-century dress watch featuring a dark dial and polished steel case transitions effortlessly between tailored suits and modern smart-casual ensembles.

Mechanical watches require regular professional servicing every three to five years, protection from water or moisture immersion, and storage away from strong magnetic fields.
