Art Nouveau sculpture is characterised by flowing, organic lines, asymmetrical curves, and a heavy reliance on motifs inspired by nature, popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Foundry bronze, often finished with various chemical patinas ranging from deep brown to golden hues, was the primary medium utilised by master sculptors of this era.

Authenticity is typically verified by foundry marks, artist signatures embedded in the cast, the quality of the chasing work, and the natural oxidisation of the bronze patina over time.

Positioning the sculpture as a focal point on a mantelpiece, dark wood console, or bookshelf allows its intricate metallic texture to contrast effectively against minimalist backdrops.

Maintain the integrity of the original patina by dusting gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth, avoiding any chemical polishes, abrasive cleaners, or excess moisture.
