Portrait busts have served as a primary medium for commemorating historical figures, leaders, and artists since ancient times, preserving their likeness and legacy in durable materials.

Traditional bronze sculptures are typically created using the lost-wax casting method, followed by hand-chasing and the application of chemical patinas to achieve colour and surface texture.

Authentic pieces generally exhibit natural patination, casting seams appropriate to their period, foundry marks, and substantial weight indicative of solid metal composition.

A bronze sculpture works well as a focal point on a sturdy pedestal, mantelpiece, or heavy wooden desk, anchoring the room with architectural presence.

Bronze should be dusted gently with a soft, dry cloth and occasionally treated with microcrystalline wax to protect the patina from moisture and handling oils.
