The Art Deco movement emerged in France during the 1910s and flourished internationally throughout the 1920s and 1930s, characterised by sleek geometric lines, glamour, and modernity.

Traditional etchings involve incising lines into a metal plate with acid, which is then inked and pressed onto high-quality handmade paper using specialized printing presses.

Authentic period prints typically exhibit plate marks, distinct ink texture under magnification, and appropriate aging on the paper stock, distinguishing them from modern offset reproductions.

These pieces function effectively as focal points in sophisticated spaces, often paired with complementary period frames, neutral wall backdrops, and subtle accent lighting.

Preservation requires framing with acid-free materials, mounting behind UV-protective glass, and displaying the work away from direct sunlight and high humidity.
