A Regency stick barometer is a weather-measuring instrument housed in a long, narrow wooden case, produced during the British Regency era in the early 19th century.

These instruments typically feature a solid hardwood case such as mahogany or oak, a brass scale plate, glass viewing windows, and a mercury-filled glass tube.

Authenticity is assessed by examining the construction methods, the patina of the wood, the engraved brass or ivory scale plates, and the hand-blown glass characteristics.

An antique barometer can be mounted on a prominent wall in a hallway or study as a focal point, pairing well with traditional or transitional interior designs.

Keep the instrument away from direct sunlight and extreme temperature fluctuations, and dust the wood periodically with a soft, dry cloth.
