Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

FAQs

Art Deco sculpture emerged in the 1920s and 1930s, characterised by sleek lines, dynamic movement, and influences from modernist art, ancient cultures, and industrial technology.

Sculptors of this era frequently used cast bronze, spelter, ivory, and cold-painting techniques, often mounting the figures on multi-coloured marble or onyx bases.

Authentic pieces typically feature artist signatures, foundry marks, period-accurate patination, and heavy construction materials such as genuine marble bases and cast metals rather than modern plastics.

Place the sculpture on a mantelpiece, sideboard top, or office desk where its geometric lines and dynamic silhouette can serve as a focal point against minimalist backdrops.

Dust the sculpture regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using chemical cleaners, water, or abrasive materials that can damage the antique patina and metal finish.
