Description

Size: 5ft 1in x 3ft 7in (154 x 109cm).

Antique Abedeh rug with the classic Zili Sultan ‘vase and peacock’ design, the rug has excellent colours on an ivory ground.

Circa 1920.

The rug is of fine weave and an excellent example of type, the border design is typical for this design of rug. Note all the small birds in the field design surrounding the vases of flowers.

The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display, the rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
