Size: 3ft 11in x 3ft 3in (119 x 100cm).

Antique Western Anatolian Bergama region Yuntdag village prayer rug.

Mid 19th century.

An exceptional small prayer rug, the central red field is filled with flowers and floral rosettes. The upper mihrab is beautifully drawn. The soft green outer field is filled with floral rosettes as is typical for Yuntdag village rugs.

The rug has slight even wear and medium pile, the rug retains the original kilim end finish at both ends.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.

This is a superb collectible prayer rug that would make a beautiful wall hanging.
