Old Persian Nain rug, lambs wool on a fine silk foundation with silk highlights.

The rug is of fine weave with tight fine pile of lambs wool, the carpet has a velvet like feel. The silk foundation allows a very fine weave, silk is also used for highlights throughout the rug.
This is a rug of a quality that would grace any room.
The colours are superb, with a soft ivory ground with the design in beautiful soft pastel colours. The border has a floral design that complements ivory ground.
The rug is in excellent condition with very slight wear and full pile, and has recently been hand washed.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug is ready for use or display.
