An atmospheric early 20th-century landscape painting depicting a beautiful sunset over a peaceful beach. Small dwellings are silhouetted against the warm hues of the evening sky.

The painting is signed ‘A Normann’ in homage to the great Norwegian painter, Eilert Adelsteen Normann (1848-1918).

Housed in a later frame.

Overall size: 44” x 32½” / 112cm x 82cm

Year of creation: c. 1930

Provenance: Germany

Condition: Light craquelure and a few abrasions. One tidy patched repair. Frame with some age-related wear.
