This is an interesting French watercolour from the early part of the 19th century.

It depicts 2 hussars in combat on the Waterloo battlefield.

The watercolour is very well executed and in great detail.

The watercolour is signed and dated 1822 but the signature is vague (see photo)

The watercolour is framed in a glazed black & gilt frame.

The frame has never been opened or tempered with.
