Description

This is a beautiful antique Chinese (Qing) botanical watercolour dating from the mid 19th Century. The well executed painting depicts insects and a butterfly surrounded by native flora.The watercolour is in strong gouache colours on pith and is presented in a neat wooden frame with a soft green mount. It is in good condition with a few historic breaks to the pith and measures 18 cms by 26 cms.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
