Description

A good esthetic movement coal box with 2 brass panels showing wading birds , taking up most of the front panel. With a rare patented handle mechanism so you don't have to open the doors manually. Push handle down and doors open. Original liner and tongs. Ebonized frame on mahogany with an attractive ebony handle to top. Some signs of use as to be expected for its age but generally in good condition. Would make a fabulous addition to a fireplace setting. Rear coal shovel missing.
