Antique Early Victorian Burr Walnut Lowboy Desk C1840 Wdb6086/19.10

19th century
Description

Quality antique early victorian burr walnut lowboy writing desk and dating from aorund 1840. It has a cross banded edge to the top above a central drawer and a further deep squared drawer to either side all of which are oak lined and with original handles and above a shaped skirt to the kneehole. It has reeded canted edges to the sides and stands on lovely carved cabriole legs on a claw and ball foot.

In very good condition and with a lovely deep colour and patination to the walnut (which the photos do not show) and oozes the charm and character of the period.

Measures: 29" high X 21,5" deep X 42" wide X knee height 22"
