Theresa Sylvester Stannard 1898-1947.Theresa was the only daughter of Henry Sylvester Stannard.She was Born at Flitwick and educated at Bedford High School.She received her artistic training from her father.She showed early promise and by the age of sixteen she had a picture exhibited at the Royal Academy.Like other members of the Stannard family,Theresa’s paintings were favoured by the the Royal family: both Queen Mary and Queen Alexandra purchased her work. ‘The Thatched Cottage and Garden’ signed watercolour.,signed watercolour,image size 18x26 cms,framed size 48x38.5 cms.
