Description

Circa 1890. Large inlaid mahogany late 19th century kneehole desk of superb quality. The shaped front with a gilt-embossed green leather writing surface in front of a detachable low shelved back with a pierced brass gallery flanked by cavetto shaped stationery cabinets. With a central frieze drawer with original brass loop handles and mahogany liners (sign of quality) over an inlaid shaped recess and flanked by two banks of four matching inlaid bowfront drawers over moulded plinth bases.
