A superb burr walnut and ebony desk by renowned makers Gillows, with an arrangement of 9 graduated drawers all beautifully Mahogany lined with the original locks, handles and escutcheons. Having panelled sides and back and an inverted breakfront top with a high-quality inset leather, decorated in gilt and blind tooling. Wonderful timber and colour throughout. Stamped and signed, English, Circa 1860.
