Art Deco sculpture emerged during the 1920s and 1930s, characterised by streamlined forms, dynamic movement, and influences from Cubism, Futurism, and ancient civilisations.

Artists frequently utilised spelter (a zinc alloy) finished with patinas mimicking bronze, often mounted on bases crafted from various types of marble or onyx.

Authenticity is typically verified by foundry marks, artist signatures etched into the casting, the weight and composition of the spelter metal, and the quality of the marble base construction.

This piece can be positioned as a focal point on a credenza, mantelpiece, or glass-fronted cabinet to introduce architectural lines and historical texture to a room.

Dust gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth and avoid using chemical cleaners, water, or abrasive polishes that can damage the delicate patinated surface.
