A rich and plush ground rug. ‘The design of the rug with geometrical patterns and rows of ‘guls’ is typical of the Tekke nomadic tribesmen of the Bohara region (within modern day Uzbekistan). This oriental rug is also characterised by fine knotting and the dominantly red background evocative of a rich Eastern culture.. The guls are often referred to as Elephant’s feet and the style as the ‘windowpane design’.
In good condition. No tears or stains. A little wear to the fringe.
