A pretty porcelain dessert plate by the Grainger manufactory at Worcester, c.1835. A shaped rim with shallow central well, typically decorated with all over gilt detail of flowering vines, acanthus leaves, scrolls and diaper pattern sections. Small lemon yellow enamel flowers and three brightly painted fancy birds and flying bugs sit amongst the vines and the centre is well painted with a pretty floral arrangement. Marked with pattern number 1698 over X in gilt to the reverse.
It measures 23.2cm (9 1/8'') wide and 2.2cm (7/8'') high).
In very good condition with no damage, repair or restoration and very minor handling wear, just mainly slight rubbing to the gilt on some of the hanging garlands falling towards the centre.
