A Victorian Coromandel writing slope/lap desk that dates to around 1850
It has a brass cartouche and escutcheon, a replacement black gold tooled leather insert and a working lock and key
Also included are the original brass topped inkwells
It has a pair of secret drawers that are exposed by raising the divider to the left of the nib slope which releases a panel under the writing slopes
It measures 13 1/2 inches wide, 9 1/2 inches deep and 6 1/2 inches high
