Early 20th Century Kingwood and marquetry bonheur du jour of exceptional quality, the desk inlaid throughout with various flowers and foliage, the superstructure having a pierced brass gallery and fitted with drawers and decorated with gilt metal figures at the corners, above a pop-out desk with a hinged fall, a shaped single frieze drawer below decorated with an ormolu mask on the drawer front, supported on gilt metal mounted cabriole legs, the frieze drawer, pop-out desk and the two drawers on the superstructure are all locked with the key at the centre of the superstructure. Wonderful colour, lovely quality mounts and in excellent condition. Circa 1900.
