Antique Anatolian Kirsehir village prayer rug of rare form.

Size: 5ft 11in x 3ft 6in (180 x 106cm).

2nd half 19th century.

An interesting village prayer rug with floral carnation design to the field and a compartment mihrab design within the field. The rug has superb colour with a abrashed green field and a warm purple to the mihrab.

Excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile, the lower end retains some of the original kilim.

This rug has not been washed, we are happy to include this in the selling price if required.
