Very elegant and generously proportioned French 19th century burr walnut and brass mounted Empire style bureau plat desk or could also work well as a dressing table too. The desk is finished on all sides, so it can be freestanding like a partners desk.
The burr walnut is a fabulous pale colour tone and with the brass mounts it''s a great decorative piece of antique furniture, but if you are looking for a practical home office desk, this gives ample space and good drawer storage.
The top leather is in good condition with some age related marks and finished with a gilt tooled edging, but can be replaced if you would rather a different colour for example.
