Size: 4ft 11in x 4ft 1in (149 x 125cm).

Antique Anatolian Sharkoy kilim, Western Turkey

Circa 1900

Sharkoy kilims are also known as Sarkoy or Thracian, they originate from Western Turkey or the region known as European Turkey or The Balkans.

The weave is very tight and fine, the design is typical of the region, due to the small square size and the very fine cloth like feel, this may have been woven as a table cover

This kilim has very good age, the colours have softened with use

Very good condition with even wear, some old re-weaves

Hand washed and ready for use.
