E W Cousins and Son has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The centre one having lift up reading slope with adjustable height support and a brass inset hinged ring handle. The right leather panel incorporating a pen tray with lift out tray and 3 divisions one sloped. Brass holding bolts to the sides and inset finger grips to aid pulling out the slide also having brass lock with key by J. Tann. The pair of pedestals each having 3 mahogany lined drawers with turned knob handles. Both on plinth bases and hidden castors. The polished back having button covers to the holding screws.
