This is a superb quality, English 19th century huge antique oak coal box. Very much a Christopher Dresser inspired design, this antique coal box is made in solid oak and is complete with all it's original brass ware hinges, handles and even still having the correct metal liner and coal shovel that fits neatly into a rear compartment. Excellent condition, all so original. Perfect beside and Arts & Crafts firepalce. Could be for logs too, as it is so large. English and dating from around 1870.
