Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English Edwardian Georgian / Sheraton style flame mahogany & string inlaid bow front writing / side table, circa 1910, displaying a lovely rich colour and patination, in excellent condition.
The drawers boast cock beaded, cross banded and string inlaid fronts, as well as the original steel foliate swan neck handles and circular escutcheons. The drawers are oak lined and constructed with hand dovetail joints and retain the original brass lever locks with working key. The drawers run smoothly and close flush to the frame. Below, the table features a cock beaded kneehole apron, and stands on tapering block legs, terminating on spade feet. The table features the original top and backboard to the rear; the frame has been constructed in the traditional method.

Condition Report:
This Edwardian writing table is in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, drawer fronts and top, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). The drawers are in good working order and close flush to the frame. The drawers feature cock beaded, cross banded and string inlaid fronts, as well as hand dovetail construction and the original solid oak drawer linings and bottoms. The drawers retain the original steel foliate swan neck handles and circular escutcheons. The drawers retain the original brass lever locks with working key. The table features the original top and backboard to the rear; the frame has been constructed in the traditional joined construction method. The table boasts a lovely rich colour and patination. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
