Antique Writing Table : Edwardian

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a fine example of a four drawer Edwardian writing table.

Manufactured circa 1900 it is mounted on square tapering legs which have marquetry inlay bound with ebonised stringing

The attention to detail will have taken hours of craftsman’s time

The surface of the desk/table has the shaped detailed marquetry, which is repeated around drawers which have original brass handles.

The pieces has a few signs of social history , of which I am happy to provide further photographs .

This piece has an elegant simplicity, it can be viewed by appointment in the shop
