Antique Afghan Baluch Bag Face of Small Size, Circa 1900.

Description

Size: 1ft 7in x 1ft 6in (48 x 47cm).

Antique Baluch saddle bag face of sweet small size.

Circa 1900.

The saddle bag has a floral rosette design on an indigo blue ground. The light madder red border frames the bag face well. Note the original closing lappets at the top.

The saddle bag is in good condition with even wear and medium pile. There is some wear to the sides as can be seen in the images. The remains of the ivory plain weave back can be seen at the base of the bag face.

The bag face has been hand washed and is ready for display.
