Victorian Oak Cylinder Top Desk

Description

Circa 1860, rare Victorian oak cylinder top desk / bureau. The rectangular top with moulded gallery over the cylinder with twin bun knobs. The interior with shaped pigeon-holes, banks of drawers with finely turned handles and a pull-out writing surface with embossed leather panels and an adjusting writing slide. All supported on twin banks of 3 drawers with original knobs, mahogany lined drawers with brass locks and on plinth bases with hidden castors.
