Description

A large and good quality 19th Century mahogany pedestal partners desk of the more desirable 18 drawer form. The rectangular moulded edge top having subtle stringing inlay of boxwood and ebony and still retaining the very good original tooled leather writing surface which has blind and gilt tooling. The centre of the leather top with a later added circular pull out to tidy electrical wiring for computers etc. Each side having 9 graduated and cock beaded drawers with further inlaid stringing and all having brass oval ring handles. The pedestals again having inlaid stringing and raised on off set plinth bases with hidden castors below. The whole in very good condition, with no splits to the pedestals, cleaned and waxed, mahogany lined throughout and with working brass locks and keys. Ready for the home or office.
