Desk Stunning Arts and Crafts Victorian Oak Hobbs and Co C1880

Here we have a fine quality stunning Hobbs and Co Victorian Arts and Crafts Oak desk c1880. As you can see the desk has fantastic colour and patina. All the Oak has been quarter sawn to show on the wonderful medullary rays within the Oak grain. The inset top is surrounded by a shallow Oak border and a complexed moulded edge. There is carved decorative reeded mouldings to the flanks of the pedestals. The drawers fronts are solid Oak and have chamfered edges to a step moulding. There are original handles, Hobbs and Co locks and solid Mahogany drawer linings with hand cut dovetail joints and dust bead quadrants. This is a three part desk for ease of movement with plinth bases and original ceramic casters. A beautiful desk of the highest quality in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 137 cm wide 76 deep and 78 high. Knee hole 61 cm high 56 cm wide.
