Description

A superb quality early 20th Century burr walnut partners desk, the shaped and moulded edge top having a deep red coloured leather writing surface with gold and blind tooling, the desk having an arrangement of nine graduated, crossbanded oak lined drawers with original brass plate handles and escutcheons, the other side of the desk having three drawers at the top with a cupboard either side with faux drawer fronts opening to reveal a single shelf inside, the desk having concave corners decorated with inlay, the sides of the desk also inlaid and having lovely figured burr walnut veneer, raised on shaped bracket feet. Circa 1920.
