Here we have the finest pair of Bonheur du Jour's we have ever seen c1860. As you can see they have fantastic colour and patina. This rare pair come to us from a private house where they have been since purchased from the Benacre Hall sale in 2000. They are of exhibition quality with every detail making them a feat of cabinet making. There are pagoda topped central mirrored cupboards which have the original locks, keys and velvet linings. These are flanked by two sets of three drawers. All the drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and solid Mahogany linings. There is an amazing level of inlay to drawer fronts and surfaces,perfectly executed. The Ormolu mounts are also exquisitey cast and gilded. The legs are well shaped and have an ormolu bead running down the front which we have never see before. A stunning fine rare pair of bonheur du jours in beautiful burr Walnut in fantastic retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 104cm wide 123 high and 60cm deep.
