Large English 19th CenturyAntique Iron Club Fender

This is a fabulous, large scale upholstered antique club fender with a wonderful wrought iron, decorative base that stands on a cast iron plinth. Very heavy quality, the upholstered seat top can be easily un-screwed off to be upholstered. Inside the shaped seat is a brass strip, designed to reflect and protect the fabric from the heat of the fire. In very good, complete condition and the club fender shaped seat is back to the orginal calico, ready for a top fabric. English and dating from around 1850.
