A superb quality Edwardian mahogany and kingwood cross banded sweeping superstructure Carlton House Desk with figured oval panels edged with ebony and boxwood stringing. The desk has an extendable maroon leather writing surface with letter compartments, central cupboard and drawers. The desk still retains its original castors.

The desk is attributed to Shoolbred & Co.
