Description

A small Chippendale mahogany architect's desk. The top with shallow gallery above a sloping lid with possibly the original decorated green baize.The desk has a waist mould with crisp gadroon carving above two shallow drawers and stands on four square legs,chamfered on the inside,and has leather barrel castors.

The table has finely carved corner brackets of exceptional quality,the back is polished making it free standing and easy to move,the lid lifts to reveal a plain interior.A top quality small desk,original colour and patina,with great carving.The height of the kneehole is 74cm,the table was designed to stand at but one could use a tall stool if needing to sit at it.English Circa 1770.
