This Fine Quality Edwardian Mahogany Antique Writing Desk dates from circa 1900; it has a moulded bow fronted top with tooled leather writing insert above a central drawer over knee hole and is flanked by four smaller drawers all with beautiful figured fronts, fine inlay banding and original decorative brass handles. This quality antique desk stands on four tapering legs with castors and has aged to a rich Mahogany shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
