Tom Scott Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
Very decorative piece being in such vibrant colour tones and the burr walnut too.
The main writing slope has a deep burgundy inset leather and when lifted you have a birds eye maple interior with pigeon holes and two drawers ( note the lefthand side pigeon hole is missing the moulding ).

The righthand side door opens to reveal a set of four drawers, all beautifully dovetailed and with recessed carved drawer pulls. Original lock, but at the moment, I can't get the key to throw the lock, so it is used as the door pull and not locking.
A super quality piece and a great decor piece.
