1870 and comes with genuine charm and character of a piece that is 150 years old. It has an upper storage compartment above a moulded fall front with original used leather writing insert and cross-banded inlays. There are four working drawers on one side and four faux on the opposite side, along with spectacular turned and scrolled columns on the front. This lovely antique davenport stands on turned bun feet with castors and has aged to a warm walnut shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
