This Stunning 19th Century Victorian Antique Davenport Desk dates from ca. 1860 and is very rare being in Yew wood.
One side of this antique Davenport has a small hinged drawer above four graduating Mahogany lined drawers with beautifully turned handles and the opposite side has four faux drawers. It is finished on all sides so can be placed in the centre of a room if desired and it has beautifully scrolled columns on either side of the front. This fine antique stands on turned bun feet with castors, has wonderful charm, character and has aged to a warm rich Yew shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
