Description:
The desk incorporates top quality full grain green inset leather with elegant gold tooling, which is bordered by oak reeded moulded top. If you prefer different colour leather, we can replace it with a colour of your choice for an additional £250. There are nine graduated working drawers either side, including a large central drawer in the middle of the desk. The drawer configuration is repeated on the back of the desk. It is unusual to see partners’ desks with a full set of drawers either side; there are usually cupboards to the back of the desk. All drawers are oak lined, feature hand dovetailing and boast reeded mouldings (a sign of quality). They also retain their original brass handles and escutcheons. The drawers also feature working locks (with key). The pedestals sit on moulded plinths. The desk is freestanding which means it can be situated in the centre of the room. As this is a large desk, it means there is significant storage space available. The desk can be dismantled into three sections for easy transport and access into the home.
Condition Report:
This desk is in good original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the desktop frame, pedestals and plinths but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The desk incorporates a top-quality full grain green leather, which is in good condition overall condition, with some nominal old use marks. If you prefer a different colour leather, we can replace it with a colour of your choice for an additional £250. Nominal old use marks to the insides of the drawers, with ink stains visible in some drawers. All drawers run smoothly and close flush to the frame. The drawers incorporate working brass lever locks (and key). This desk is solid in joint and ready to use.
