Description

Having a rectangular solid mahogany top with fine crossband inlay above two lockable rectangular crossbanded mahogany lined drawers. The cylinder fall front bureau with exquisite floral inlays enclosing a fitted mahogany interior, with a green leather gilt and blind tooled leather writing surface. The fall front and drawers veneered in the finest flamed mahogany and with a further rectangular drawer to the frieze. The whole supported on square tapering supports with brass and porcelain cup castors, united by a shaped under stretcher with fine crossband inlay throughout. Made by Maple & Co of London. England circa 1890.
