This High Quality Victorian Mahogany Antique Cylinder desk dates from ca. 1890 and is by the renowned makers Jas Shoolbred.
The interior has several letter racks, three faux and three working small satinwood drawers with brass handles and an early tooled writing insert. Below is one central and four outer drawers all oak lined with the original brass handles and the desk stands on four tapering legs with castors. It has aged to a Rich Mahogany shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
