Unusual Satin Birch Victorian Antique Pedestal Desk

Dating from ca. 1870 this Country House, Unusual Satin Birch Victorian Antique Pedestal Desk has a raised back above a moulded top with central drawer over kneehole. Each pedestal has four graduating drawers with moulded edges, beautifully figured fronts and central turned handles. This fine antique desk stands on a figured plinth with castors and is full of beautiful charm and character. It has aged to a wonderful golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
