Description

Size: 6ft 10in x 4ft 7in (208 x 140cm).

A good North West Persian village rug from the Greater Hamadan Region.

Circa 1900/20.

This rug is a good example of Persian village weaving, with a pleasing shrub design to the field surrounding the small pink medallion.

The border has a well-drawn floral design and is on a very attractive light indigo blue ground.

The rug is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and good pile. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use. A very attractive furnishing rug of good size.

The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
