Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
It is breakfronted with a moulded edge and has an early tooled leather writing insert above a decorative carved frieze with large knee hole. Each pedestal comprises of three graduating mahogany lined drawers with moulded edges and the original brass handles. This quality antique stands on four beautifully turned legs with brass castors and the oak has aged to a golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
