A superb Regency period mahogany pedestal desk of excellent quality.

This handsome desk is of an unusual caddy-top design.
Having a green leather, gold tooled inset writing surface.
Comprising of nine drawers, with turned handles. The drawers are sturdy and strong with thick mahogany linings.

Having the original locks and ebony lozenge escutcheons. Also has the two original keys, to lock the central drawer and both pedestals, which is quite unusual for this age of desk, as they are so often lost.

Standing on castors that work smoothly and efficiently in all directions.
Overall a lovely, large heavy desk, showing all the great quality you would expect from the Regency era.
In excellent antique condition, having expected signs of age and use.The leather is in very good condition, with only minor signs of use. The central drawer front has marks around the escutcheon. There is also an ancient ink mark to a drawer front on the right side pedestal. Shown in the pictures.

The desk is one piece so doesn`t dismantle.
