Description

This is a superb Arts and Crafts period coal reciever with a most striking, acorn design. The copper scuttle is beautifully tooled and the hand forged ironwork frame has great styling with spiral twist and hammered scroll details. The classic piece is a registered design stamped with the registered number 186919 dating it to right at the very start of the registered number introduction in1884.

The coal scuttle has its original lift out metal liner in perfect order so this is a very useful practical piece as well as being extremely decorative.

The piece measures 60 cms high by 42 cms wide (feet) and the copper vessel is 36 cms in diameter.
